After serving in the Australian Defence Force in the mid 70’s as a trade driver I then joined the Security Industry where I worked for the next 26 years protecting clients and their property. As an experienced member of the security industry I was required to act in accordance with strict core values demonstrating at all times professionalism, confidentiality, impartiality and the highest ethical standards to achieve the excellent results that I have proven to demonstrate throughout my career. By abiding with such best practices I have been able to develop the ability to think strategically and gain a solid business understanding. My last ten years in the Security Industry I served at a very high profile Adelaide Hospital Emergency area where I witnessed my share of (MVA’s) Motor Vehicle Accident victims and the effects it has on their families. This encouraged me to become a Driving Instructor where I could make a difference on how our children are taught to drive a motor vehicle on our roads in a safe manner whilst obeying Road Law and respecting other road users. Accidents don't “just happen” – There are three contributing factors that cause road crashes. They are the vehicle, the environment or the driver. In most documented cases it is the driver at fault therefore - If we can eliminate the driver in accident situations, that's definitely a step in the right direction and the only way that will happen is Driver Education. We all want our Children, family members and friends to come home safe at the end of the day. I'm sure we have all seen plenty of bad drivers on our roads jeopardising our safety and the safety of our loved ones. How nice would it be to see a generation of good drivers on our roads... I completed Certificate IV in Motor Driving Instruction and Training & Assessment in the workplace in August 2006 and shortly after became Nationally Accredited.
